​Join us as we explore a uniquely powerful portion of medical/dental mission work. That of individuals who see a need and act to make a positive difference in the world, from a personal perspective, motivated by altruism.

This year we welcome Randy Meyer, Executive Director of Caring Hands Worldwide, along with Dr. Barry Bacon (class of '84 SM) pursuing global health as part of his full-spectrum family medicine practice.

Thinking about attending, but have some questions?

What is the Breakfast?

The light breakfast is a serve-yourself vegetarian buffet, allowing guests to choose items according to their personal preferences and dietary needs.

​The breakfast buffet will begin at 6:45 a.m. to allow time for guests to have their food before the program begins.

What is the Cost? ​Do I need a Reservation?

There is no charge to attend, and reservations are not needed. Walk-ins are welcome!
​However, advance registration does help us when planning seating and food.

Is this only for LLU Alumni?

Although LLU alumni are specifically invited, we encourage anyone with a heart for international missions to attend, whether or not you personally served overseas. You will enjoy the opportunity to mingle with other like-minded attendees.

The 2023, Homecoming Mission Emphasis Breakfast featured some newly returned medical and dental missionary couples who shared their own experiences. Dr. Hart will moderate a panel of MD/DDS couples - The Arnolds (Lusaka, Zambia), Walkers (Botswana and Guam), and the Yoos (Lusaka, Zambia). ​

The annual Mission Emphasis Breakfast is organized by LLUSD Office of International Dental Affairs as part of the Loma Linda University Homecoming activities. Alumni and faculty from all eight LLU schools are invited. This breakfast is a highlight for those interested in international missions along with those who served overseas. Come together with us, and enjoy the opportunity to network with others.
