October 17-23, 2023
Sunset Tour and Manta Ray Snorkel
Wednesday Evening, October 18, 2023 $133 per person 4:00-8:00 p.m. Space is LIMITED! Please note this tour is nearly full. Advance registration required by October 7. Overflow options are available, but are an additional cost. If the tour is full by the time we receive your registration, we will notify you. Join our first group adventure watching one of the legendary Kona sunsets as we sail along the Kona coast. Once we arrive at the snorkel location, we receive a full safety briefing before joining our guides in the water to snorkel with the majestic Hahalua (manta rays). Once back on the boat, enjoy warm drinks and the lights of the town as we return.
Guests must know how to swim without the assistance of a flotation device. Snorkel equipment, T-top wetsuit, and swim noodles are included by our KonaStyle tour group. Please note, the space is limited on this tour, but we have backup options to offer you if our first group is full. Taking in the breathtaking views of the coast at sunset, and getting up close to the manta rays, will be a wonderful kick-off for our convention time together. |
We’ve designed this tour for nature enthusiasts who like to get up close to the sites. The Volcano National Park encompasses the summits of two of the world's most active volcanos - Kilauea and Mauna Loa. Once we arrive in the park, there will be options for walking trails with outstanding views, and very scenic drives. You will have an opportunity to visit the gift shop and have a meal on your own. There are some longer hikes, including to see the best views of the lava after dark.
Parking space is very limited in the park, so guests are encouraged to carpool with vans rented by NASDAD. You may choose to transport yourself and cover your own fees, but please let us know to count you in our group. |
Sunday Connections
Sunday, October 22, 2023 More Adventures All Day! Since this is a celebration of our 80th anniversary, we have special NASDAD group activities designed to allow members to build new connections by joining one or more smaller group activities through the day depending on their interests. There are options for ziplining, golfing, a morning snorkel tour, shopping, and afternoon water sports. NASDAD will collect the names of interested members, and connect you together with the details needed to make your own arrangements as a group for tour times. Several tours are likely to sell out weeks ahead. The sooner we know your interests, the better options your groups will have for securing tour times together. Please share preferences by September 17 if possible, but the deadline to let us know is October 7. |
